Central Bank decreases the treasury bill rates

Weighted Average Yield Rate of treasury bills that matured from 91 days is decreased to 8.76%

Weighted Average Yield Rate of treasury bills that matured from 182 days is decreased to 9.17%

Weighted Average Yield Rate of treasury bills that matured from 364days is decreased to 9.29%

Central bank of Sri Lanka has decreased the weighted average yield ratio of treasury bills issued by the Central bank from considerable amounts.

The Latest auction of treasury bills issuance held on 21st of May in 2024 and the public debt department of Central bank has issued the rates that the determined for bills at auction.

In there 84,462 millions valued bids have been received for the bills that mature from 91 days. By the way only 25,000 millions worth bids haven been accepted and approved rate for this bill type was 8.76%. The previous rate was 9.04 % for the 91 days mature bills before.

172,381 millions valued bids have been received for the bills that mature from 91 days. By the way only 65,000 millions worth bids haven been accepted and approved rate for this bill type was 9.17%. The previous rate was 9.43% for the 182 days mature bills before.

113,811 millions valued bids have been received exclusively for the bills that mature from 364days.And only 70,000 millions worth bids haven been accepted and approved rate for this bill type was 9.29%. The previous rate was 9.57% for the 182 days mature bills before. CBSL has down the rates for this bill type from 0.28%.

The aggregation of accepted bids of treasury bills in the auction is 160,000 millions of LKR.
