China implements new guidelines to exclude Intel and AMD chips from government PCs

China has now introduced new guidelines which aiming to block Intel and AMD chips to use in Government PCs. The procurement guidance also seeks to sideline Microsoft’s Windows operating system and foreign-made database software in favor of Chinese solutions, the report said.

These decisions have taken considering the security in China Government security and reducing the stress in stealing government’s data by America. Mean time this might be a boost bump for Chinese semiconductors demand inside the country.

China was Intel’s largest market last year, providing 27 per cent of its $54bn in sales and 15 per cent of AMD’s $23bn in sales.

This might be a mighty strike on American Semi-Conductors companies after losing their biggest market after these restrictions.
