Thai Airways, Thailand’s flag carrier airline, has resumed daily flights between Bangkok (BKK) and Colombo (CMB) in Sri Lanka.
The Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) welcomed the first Thai Airways flight to Sri Lanka since it resumed operations, with passengers receiving Sri Lanka Tea Board-sponsored English Tea Shop gift packs and a traditional Kandyan dance performance organized by Sri Lanka Tourism.
The occasion was attended by Ambassador of Thailand to Sri Lanka, Paitoon Mahapannaporn, Sri Lanka’s Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation, Nimal Siripala de Silva, Chairman of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, Eng. Athula Galketiya, and other senior officials of the AASL.
